Natalie Podgorski

Founding Partner

 An award-winning journalist with over 15 years of communication experience, Natalie is the principal and founder of Foresight Public Affairs. Working directly with clients to create and implement effective communication campaigns, her ability to quickly understand the heart of an issue and identify how to move forward has made her a trusted advisor to companies across the Pacific Northwest.

 Natalie faces challenges head-on with courage, innate curiosity, and strategic prowess. Using this powerful combination, she has consulted in some of the toughest situations of recent times. Natalie helped hospitals navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. She coordinated a public comment period for a junior mining company that resulted in more than 15,000 supportive comments in the official record. She was part of the team that ran a successful statewide ballot initiative campaign to prevent the expansion of gambling in Idaho. And she is often the first call for many companies in crisis.

 When she isn’t consulting, Natalie loves spending time with her family, exploring some of the most spectacular places on earth, and hiking under ponderosas with her beloved dog, Otto.

With a decade of experience spanning Congress and corporate public affairs, Marty brings a rare combination of political instinct, strategic clarity, and narrative craftsmanship to every challenge.

Before joining Foresight, Marty served as press secretary to U.S. House Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx and communications director to U.S. Senator for Idaho Jim Risch during some of the most pivotal moments in recent political history. In the private sector, Marty was part of the team that helped Idaho-based mining company Perpetua Resources earn national priority recognition by two presidential administrations and advance from federal permitting to groundbreaking on a critical mining project worth more than $2 billion in value.

Marty approaches her work with strength, precision, and heart. Her natural ability to understand the long game while executing the details has made her a trusted partner in Idaho and beyond. Above all, she loves knitting teams together and helping them communicate clearly, confidently, and in a way that is authentic to them. 

In her free time, you’ll find Marty hiking in the Boise foothills, cooking for friends and family, and exploring Idaho’s wild places.
